Biote Pellets

Let's Plump This Up

Why Biote Pellets?

IV Nutrition Therapy is a form of IV treatment that supplies the body with necessary vitamins and minerals to replenish deficiencies or aid in healing. The nutrients get delivered through a liquid solution from an IV line, PICC line, or port.

The IV drip delivers nutrients directly to the bloodstream. This process bypasses digestion to provide quicker delivery to the cells that need it.

If you’re unable to get the right nutrients through your diet or your body has a difficult time absorbing vitamins and minerals, your doctor may recommend IV nutrition therapy.

    FAQs

Biote Hormone Treatment is a natural means used by physicians to balance hormones, thus helping in reducing and often eliminating the negative effects the hormone imbalance has on the body. It is a specific type of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT). This therapy is most popular with thousands of physicians that choose to provide this treatment to help with hormone imbalance without prescription medication, BHRT pills received through a compounding pharmacy, gels, or shots. The Biote method is either a BHRT Estrogen pellet for women or a BHRT testosterone pellet for men that the provider inserts subcutaneously, releasing a continuous stream of the specific bioidentical hormone into the bloodstream. The pellets eventually dissolve and are absorbed by the body, allowing hormones to be available when the body is in need.

The dosage of pellet therapy will be customized for the patient. Many people may only need two pellet insert treatments per year to gain the balance they need and feel dramatically better. Bioidentical estrogen pellets and bioidentical testosterone pellets use hormones that are molecularly similar to those found within the human body.

Subcutaneous pellets have the advantage of steady release. Oral drugs can cause wild swings in hormone levels, peaking after one dose and then dwindling before your next pill. Biote pellets are, custom compounded by Food and Drug Administration registered pharmaceutical manufacturers, providing a high level of safety through per batch monitoring and FDA compliance oversight.

Biote pellets are typically placed below the skin on your hip. The insertion process is simple and fast once your hormonal needs are established and the right pellet formulation is chosen.

This therapy also proves healthier than traditional medication therapy, as the BHRT hormones received through pellet therapy do not affect the liver or blood clotting factors. Hormone levels do not appear to fluctuate as they may with prescription medications, gels, or shots and they do not increase the risk of thrombosis. Much of the reason for this is due to the ingredients in the pellets. Made from the yam plant, or soy, to create estradiol or testosterone molecules, Biote BHRT pellets are made from the yam plant or soy to create estradiol or testosterone molecules.

Symptom relief has been reported by patients from hours after the pellet insertion up to four weeks after insertion. It is possible it may take up to six months to feel a significant difference in symptom relief and many patients notice the full benefits of the therapy after a second pellet insertion. Your provider will talk with you during the initial consultation and after the initial pellet insertion about the timing of your second treatment, as well as the amount of treatments you may need, as the treatment is individualized for each patient.

Many female patients have found that the pellet treatments offer great relief from most or all of the symptom concerns referenced above, as well as the symptoms of menopause and even menstrual-related migraines.  Many male patients have found that the pellet treatment helps with low sex drive,  cholesterol levels, and fatigue and provides increased energy among many other positive results.

Invigorate Advanced Aesthetics’ Medical Director, A Biote Certified Provider, helps guide patients through the entire bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) process. Through an in-office consultation, the provider will order the appropriate bloodwork to be taken and processed in the lab.  Once results from the bloodwork are received, our provider will customize the specific pellet therapy dosage and amount of treatments for you.

During the treatment process, the provider will clarify the area on the body for the insertion of the pellet, which is usually in the middle to upper buttocks region. The provider will numb the designated area, create a small incision, and then insert the pellet. The incision area will be covered by a bandage for healing and the pellet will eventually dissolve through absorption into the body.
