Feel, Look And Act 25 Again!
What is Sexual Vitality?
There are thousands of products and procedures marketing to women to help them hold on to youth as long as they can. Vaginal rejuvenation falls into that category with promises of tightening the vagina, stopping incontinence, eliminating vaginal dryness, and more. “Childbirth and age can change a woman’s vagina,” “And there are some women who want to try to reverse those changes.”
There isn’t a single vaginal rejuvenation procedure. There are creams and injections that are meant to improve the quality of orgasm. There are also surgeries or laser treatments that promise to tighten the muscles of the vagina or improve its look.
Here are five benefits the treatment provides.

What are the Different Types of Vaginal Rejuvenation
Internal CO2 Laser
The Edge CO2 laser is a device that delivers gentle laser therapy to the vaginal wall tissue. This specialized laser stimulates a healing response in the vaginal canal without anesthesia and virtually no pain. Unlike surgical procedures, the Edge CO2 laser is performed in three five-minute procedures, spaced six weeks apart – over the course of 12 weeks.
With overwhelmingly positive results, it’s possible to experience symptom relief after the first treatment with even greater relief after the second and third treatments. The Edge CO2 laser provides lasting relief, with a single annual follow-up treatment to maintain your results.
The Edge CO2 laser procedure offers significant advantages over current treatment options as it addresses the issues that cause vaginal atrophy, providing relief for the Loss of:
- Painful Intercourse
- Urinary Tract Infections
- Bladder Control
The Edge CO2 laser Restores:
- Increased Elasticity
- Restore Pelvic Floor
External CO2 Laser
This helps with incontinence and it helps make the outside pretty like it’s new again.
Recently added to our array of vaginal restoration treatments is the new, state-of-the-art Morpheus8 V that harnesses the combined power of radiofrequency energy and microneedling to tighten and restore vaginal walls, as well as improve the external appearance of the labia.
Unlike vaginal tightening surgery, Morpheus8 V rejuvenates and tightens the vagina – increasing lubrication & elasticity and improving sexual sensation – with no incisions, very little downtime, and no difficult recovery.
What are the Different Types of Vaginal Rejuvenation
The O-Shot is an injectable treatment that addresses a variety of sexual problems for women. From painful intercourse to vaginal dryness to a low sex drive, there are many issues that interfere with sexual wellness. The O-Shot was designed to help with these conditions. Most women who have tried the O-Shot are very happy with the results.
The P-Shot involves taking platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from your blood and injecting it into your penis. This means your doctor takes your own cells and tissues and injects them into your penile tissues to promote tissue growth and purportedly give you better erections.
The most popular form is called the Priapus Shot. This name, taken from the Greek deity of sexual health, was first used by Dr. Charles Runels (of Kardashian vampire facial fame) and caught on from there.
By now, most women are familiar with microneedling treatments for antiaging and rejuvenating the skin on the face. Microneedling – used in the now-famous “Vampire Facial” – stimulates the body’s natural cellular healing mechanisms by creating microscopic channels in the skin.
Similarly, radiofrequency also penetrates deep into the dermis (lower layer of skin) to activate the production of collagen and elastin – the building blocks or “scaffolding” of thick, firm, elastic, youthful tissue.
Morpheus8 V is an advanced vaginal treatment which combines these two different modalities to repair, restore and rejuvenate the walls of the vagina as well as the labia. This in-office, non-surgical procedure tightens vaginal looseness, enhances sexual sensation, restores lubrication and elasticity, and improves the appearance of the labia. So, sex once again becomes exciting and enjoyable for the woman and her partner!
Microneedling, which punctures the skin with tiny, sterile, clinical-grade needles, is also known as collagen induction therapy – because the microscopic “wounds” cause the body to make more collagen and elastin. This natural healing mechanism repairs thin, weak, dry vaginal walls to make the vagina more supple, plump, moist, youthful, and pliable.
Radiofrequency treatments transmit specific wavelengths of thermal energy that also encourage the body to activate collagen remodeling – thus enhancing, tightening, and rejuvenating the vaginal skin. With Morpheu8 V vaginal rejuvenation, when the ultra-fine needles penetrate the skin, RF energy is delivered through them into the dermis for optimal cellular repair and regeneration.
Absolutely! Remember Morpheus8 was originally developed as a skin resurfacing treatment – to smooth and tighten the face. Morpheus8 V extends these skin rejuvenating benefits to the genitalia – for a labia that is smoother, tighter smaller and less “droopy”.
To achieve the optimal vaginal rejuvenation, we typically recommend three individual Morpheus8 V 30-minute treatments, scheduled one to two months apart.
Yes! Many laser treatments cannot be used on darker skin tones – because the pigment in the skin can absorb too much of the laser energy and burn. But Morpheus8 V utilizes radiofrequency energy rather than lasers – so it is safe, effective and FDA cleared for all skin tones.
Everybody heals differently – so the rate at which your treated area will recover may vary. However, patients are typically able to drive themselves home after the procedure.
Many of our patients find that they recover fully from the procedure in about 48 hours. This is, of course, weeks shorter than the recovery period for vaginal and/or labia tightening surgery (vaginoplasty or labiaplasty).
Morpheus8 V Vaginal Rejuvenation is an excellent Friday afternoon treatment – as patients can take it easy for 48 hours over the weekend and return to work on Monday!
Yes! Because Morpheus8 V stimulates the body’s natural healing mechanisms, it can also remedy a wide array of other pelvic or “female problems”.
In addition to vaginal tightening and labia remodeling, Morpheus8 V can be used to improve the following conditions:
• Low sex drive
• Lack of vaginal sensation
• Infrequent or diminished orgasms
• Urinary incontinence / overactive bladder
• Lichen sclerosis
• Vulvar psoriasis
• Vulvar vestibulitis
The Orgasm “O” Shot, is a non-surgical treatment that pledges to increase sexual arousal and rejuvenate the vagina. Patients report stronger and more frequent orgasms, increased natural lubrication, and greater arousal after having the procedure.
The “O” shot is for women.
The P-Shot is based on PRP therapy used in recovery from muscle and joint injuries and explored for treating chronic health conditions.
In all cases, it’s considered an experimental treatment.
In short, the P-Shot has been used as an alternative treatment in cases including:
- erectile dysfunction (ED)
- lichen sclerosus
- peyronie’s disease, a condition in which scar tissue makes the penis curve when it’s erect
- penis enhancement
- general sexual function, performance, and orgasm enhancement
The P shot is for men.
All we have to go on is anecdotal. If it works to enhance sexual function, no one knows why, whether it’s repeatable or not, what outcomes are, or how safe it is.
Orgasms happen (and don’t happen) for a number of physical, mental, and emotional reasons. A shot may not actually do anything for the root cause of your ability to have orgasms.
The benefits of this treatment on sexual performance may be attributed to:
- increased blood flow
- repair responses in some tissue or cells
- new neural pathways being established (from new experiences and positive reinforcement)
You don’t need to do anything specific to prepare for this procedure.
You may want to get a physical or a full set of laboratory blood tests to check your overall health if you haven’t already done so in the past year. Making sure you have healthy blood, plasma, and platelets is crucial.
Many patients experience noticeable improvements within the first three weeks following treatment, but the full regrowth of tissue is not complete until approximately three months after the injection. On average, the O-Shot® lasts about 12-18 months.
