Get Rid Of It For Good

Why Waxing?

Waxing is one of the most popular methods of body hair removal. This affordable method of hair removal helps to keep unwanted hairs at bay for 3 to 6 weeks depending on the area being waxed and how fast your hair grows.

Waxing What to Look For:

A good waxing session involves two things… a well-trained and qualified waxing technician and great products such as Body Wax Brazil Chocolate Wax. We have both 😊

The Wax of Choice at Invigorate Advanced Aesthetics

The Chocolate Waxβ€” What happens when you bring all the benefits of cocoa into a wax treatment? To give you a hint, there’s a reason why we chose chocolate waxes as part of our top-of-the-line treatment. Most professional waxes are infused with natural ingredients that help the healing process and make the waxing experience much more comfortable; that’s nothing new in the world of body waxes. With that said, chocolate wax is one of the most popular types of wax because of all the perks it brings to make the skin look softer and healthier after a wax session.

There is nothing like The Chocolate Wax for smaller areas such as bikini lines, face, and underarms. This hard wax will deliver expert results for you every time. It gently yet effectively removes all the vellus and thick hairs in just one application.

More About Why Chocolate Wax

Chocolate wax’s effectiveness is proven across the board, helping remove the hairs with minimal pulling and leaving the skin soft and shiny in the end. There is nothing like The Chocolate Wax for smaller areas such as bikini lines, face, and underarms. This hard wax will deliver expert results for you every time. It gently yet effectively removes all the vellus and thick hairs in just one application.

Chocolate wax combines a high concentration of natural ingredients and mineral oils to make it act more gently on the skin, to reduce pain, and enhance the skincare benefits that professional waxes are known for. To avoid confusion, let’s look at these benefits one by one:

  • A gentle treatment. Chocolate wax heats at bearable temperatures, the texture won’t go brittle on the skin, and is easy to remove without pulling too hard on the area.

  • After the first session, and once all the hairs in one part of your body follow the same regrowth cycle, chocolate wax slows down the growth of new hairs. This has the obvious advantage of expanding the time between wax sessions, but Chocolate wax can also remove shorter hair more effectively, so you spend much less time worrying about body hair during your daily routine.

  • If you have a suntan, chocolate wax helps dissipate its effects in less time. It removes the dead skin that’s already peeling off, and the hydrating properties soothe the area until it looks healthier and vibrant.

FAQs

  • Depending on the amount of hair and the area being waxed, a medium to small area should not take more than 15 to 20 minutes
  • There are typically three types of bikini waxing options (1) bikini line, (2) Bikini full …everything gone other than your behind area (3) Brazilian is everything front and back is waxed with the option to leave at triangle or landing strip on the front.
  • To maintain, it is recommended to wax every 3 to 6 weeks.Β  How fast your hair grows back depends on many factors.Β  The hair cycle of each follicle, the coarseness of the hair, and the length of the hair when you came in for your appointment. If you have stubble in just a few days after your appointment, it is most likely due to hairs not being waxed because the hair was too short or the hair was under the skin waiting to come through. Generally, clients will see regrowth at about two weeks.Β  Eventually after about 5 to 6 sessions, the hair will sync up and you will have longer periods between waxing and be smoother after each wax.Β  DO NOT SHAVE IN BETWEEN VISITS.
  • If hair is too short, waxing will be ineffective. It needs to be at least the length of a rice grain

Do not wax if you are on Accutane as it causes skin to be thin, sensitive and dry.Β  It is important to apply SPF everyday.

  • Before waxing, make sure your hair is one-fourth to three fourths of an inch long (about the size of a grain of rice).Β  If longer, then it is ok to trim to that length. By doing so, it will provide a more comfortable wax for you.Β  If hair is too long, the wax can pull and tug making it more uncomfortable than necessary,
  • Prep skin 1 to 2 days prior to appointment with a gentle scrub to help loosen the hair and clear off dead skin from the follicle.Β  Be gentle and do not over scrub.Β  It is important that the exfoliant does not have AHA’s or other acids that may cause the skin to be overly sensitive.Β  It is recommended to exfoliate the area 2 to 3 times a week for best results.
  • Clean skin prevents infection and is important to shower the morning prior to the appointment.
  • Best to avoid scheduling appointment a week before or during your menstrual cycle. The skin can be more sensitive, and you may experienceΒ  heightened discomfort.
  • Do not tan or have sun exposure 24 hours before the wax. Doing so may cause hyperpigmentation.Β  Wait 24 hours post wax to get a spray tan
  • Stick to your wax schedule every 4 to 5 weeks.
  • It is encouraged to begin exfoliating about three days post wax, with a gentle sugar or salt scrub.Β  Again, this should be done 2 to 3 times per week to prevent ingrown hairs and to keep skin silky smooth.
  • Keep skin hydrated.Β  Important to use hydration products that will not clog the pores.
  • Do not have strenuous exercise 24 to 48 hours after wax appointment (specifically bikini area) as this may invite bacteria in a recently waxed area.
  • Avoid wearing tightly fitted clothes (for 24 to 48 hours) to keep irritation at bay
  • Stay away from hot tubs, steam rooms. lakes, pools, or the ocean for 24 hours post wax.Β  The pores are still open and need time to close.Β  Open pores can increase the chance of bacteria and irritation.

Pubic hair grows sideways under the skin rather than through the follicle.Β  This causes clogging in the area and canΒ cause the hair to grow inward.Β  This can also occur under the arms.
